I was born and raised in Los Angeles and still refer to it as "home", though I have discovered home is often where I'm returning to, not where I'm coming from. Both my parents are from Mexico--the state of Jalisco to be exact (home of the mariachi and tequila). Much of my life has been spent in Mexico and I consider Guadalajara to be a third home, the one that is about dreams and hidden corners. I moved to Chicago to study film and sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and somehow wound up getting into museum education, which I did for 12 years. I last worked in the fashion industry doing all manner of things related to online commerce and now am aiming to work in the creative world. For the curious, some quick stats:
